Fabrics & Light Control

Plain cream roller blind fabric — light filtering
Patterned pink roller blind fabric — decorative fabric option

Light Filtering

Softens daylight while keeping the room bright — a versatile everyday choice.

Dim Out

Reduces brightness and glare while still allowing some light through.

Blackout

Blackout fabric reduces light but does not create total blackout, because light can still enter around the edges of a standard Roller blind.

Easy-Care & Wipe-Clean

Practical fabrics that wipe clean easily — a good fit for kitchens and busy family rooms.

Patterns & Textures

Botanical, geometric and textured designs for a more decorative window.

How Your Roller Blind Operates

Chain Operated

A familiar manual option using a side control chain. The required child-safety arrangement depends on the selected system and installation.

Spring Operated / Pull Operation

A cordless manual option operated by pulling the blind down by hand, with the spring mechanism returning the blind when released or activated. Where available, this provides a useful Safe by Design option because there is no looped operating chain.

Motorised

Available with remote control and, depending on the selected motor system, app control or compatible smart-home integration.

Roll Direction & Fitting Considerations

Standard Roll

The fabric unrolls from behind the roller tube.

Reverse Roll

The fabric unrolls from the front of the roller tube. This can be useful where extra clearance is needed around window handles or other obstructions within the recess.

Fascia & Finishing Options

Roller blinds with a 40mm black fascia profile

40mm Fascia

A slim, neat fascia profile that conceals the roller tube for a clean finish.

Roller blind with a 70mm white fascia profile

70mm Fascia

A wider fascia profile giving a more substantial, architectural finish.

Roller blind with a fabric insert fascia profile

Fabric Insert Fascia

The fascia front is finished in the same fabric as the blind, for a coordinated, integrated look.

Perfect Fit & No-Drill Roller Options

Perfect Fit and other no-drill Roller systems are available for suitable windows and doors. The exact fitting method depends on the selected system and glazing arrangement, which we confirm during the home visit.

Electric & Motorised Roller Blinds

Motorised Roller blinds are operated by remote control and, depending on the selected motor system, app control or compatible smart-home integration.

Depending on the motor selected, rechargeable battery or mains-wired options may be available. Motorisation is particularly useful for larger blinds or glazing that is difficult to reach by hand.

Exact control options and smart-home compatibility depend on the blind type, size and motor system selected, and are confirmed during your free home visit.

Child Safety — Part of Every Blind Installation

Safe by Design

Cordless, spring/pull and motorised options where suitable.

Built-In Safety Systems

Appropriate integral or breakaway systems where applicable.

Separate Safety Devices

Tensioners, chain tidies, cleats or other required devices depending on the blind and control system.

We will not leave a blind installed without the required child-safety device.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are Roller blinds suitable for bedrooms?

Yes — blackout roller fabrics are a popular bedroom choice, significantly reducing light for a better sleep environment. Some light will still enter around the edges of a standard blind; where a much higher level of room darkening is required, ask about our specialist total blackout system.

What is the difference between blackout and dim-out fabric?

Blackout roller fabrics significantly reduce light passing through the fabric itself, though some light will still enter around the edges of the blind. Dim-out fabrics reduce and diffuse light without blocking it completely, giving a softer, more filtered result.

Can Roller blinds be motorised?

Yes — motorised roller blinds are available with remote control and, depending on the selected motor system, app control or compatible smart-home integration. We'll confirm exact compatibility for your chosen system during your free home visit.

Are Roller blinds suitable for kitchens and bathrooms?

Yes, with the right fabric. Easy-care and wipe-clean fabrics are designed for environments where moisture and everyday marks are a factor, and can be wiped clean easily.

What are Perfect Fit / no-drill Roller blinds?

Perfect Fit and other no-drill Roller systems fit directly to suitable window or door frames without drilling into walls or frames. The exact fitting method depends on the selected system and glazing arrangement, which we confirm during the home visit.

How long do Roller blinds take?

Typically 3–5 weeks, subject to selected product, fabric and availability.
