Day & Night blinds use alternating sheer and opaque fabric bands that pass in front of one another. By changing the alignment of those bands, you can move from a brighter, more open view to increased privacy without raising the blind completely.

How the Bands Control Light & Privacy
The two fabric layers move past one another. When more of the sheer sections align, the blind admits more daylight and gives a more open view. As the opaque sections overlap, privacy increases and incoming light reduces.
Day & Night Is Not Total Blackout
The opaque bands are designed for privacy and stronger light reduction, not to seal the window opening. Edge light and some light through the fabric can remain even in the privacy position.
Fascia & Cassette Options
Selected standard Day & Night systems can be supplied with a fascia or cassette profile that conceals the roller mechanism. The exact profile size, colours and fabric-insert options depend on the supplier system selected.
Slim Fascia
A restrained front profile for a clean finish where the selected system supports it.
Enclosed Cassette
A more substantial profile that encloses more of the mechanism and creates a stronger architectural finish.
Perfect Fit® Day & Night Blinds
Perfect Fit® Day & Night combines the striped fabric with a surrounding frame fitted to suitable window or door beading. It moves with the opening panel and keeps the surrounding wall and recess clear.
Suitability depends on the window profile, beading, handles and clearances. Manual control options vary by the selected Perfect Fit® system; no motorised option is currently evidenced for the Perfect Fit® Day & Night systems covered on this page.
Manual & Motorised Operation
Manual Day & Night blinds use the control specified for the selected system to raise or lower the blind and change the band alignment.
Selected standard systems can be motorised for powered operation. Motor, power and control compatibility depend on the blind size and supplier system and are confirmed during the home visit.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are Day & Night blinds blackout?
No. Overlapping the opaque bands reduces light and improves privacy, but light can still pass through the fabric and around the edges of the blind. If maximum darkness is the priority, ask us about our specialist Total Blackout Blinds.
Are Day & Night, vision and zebra blinds the same thing?
These names are commonly used for the same general style of blind — alternating sheer and opaque bands moving past one another on a roller-type system. Supplier construction and fabric ranges can still differ.
Can Day & Night blinds be motorised?
Yes, on selected standard systems. No motorised option is currently evidenced for the Perfect Fit® Day & Night systems covered on this page.
What is a Perfect Fit® Day & Night blind?
It combines the alternating sheer and opaque fabric with a Perfect Fit® frame for suitable glazed panels. The frame moves with the opening window or door, subject to the beading, handles and clearances being suitable.
Can I still raise a Day & Night blind fully?
Yes. The band alignment controls light and privacy while the blind is down, and the blind can also be raised to clear more of the window when required.
How do I clean a Day & Night blind?
Care depends on the selected fabric. Use the care instructions supplied for your chosen range and avoid soaking or machine washing the complete blind and mechanism unless the supplier specifically permits it.
