Full Height
The classic configuration. Panels span the full height of your window for a clean, elegant look. Available with or without a mid-rail for independent upper and lower louvre control.
Café Style
Shutters fitted to the lower half of the window only, leaving the upper section open. An elegant choice for rooms where you want privacy at street level while keeping the room bright and airy above.
Tier on Tier
Two independently operated sets of panels — upper and lower — giving you full control over light and privacy at any time of day.
Bay Window
Wooden shutters can be made to follow any bay angle — making them an outstanding choice for the classic bay windows found throughout the Milton Keynes, Bedford and Luton area.
Shaped Shutters

Choosing Your Louvre Size
The louvre size you choose affects the character of your shutter, the quality of light in your room and the overall aesthetic. We offer three sizes across our wooden shutter range.
63mm louvres
The most traditional louvre size, giving a classic shutter look with close, refined louvre spacing. Ideal for smaller windows and rooms where privacy is the priority.
76mm louvres
The most popular choice. Strikes the perfect balance between the traditional shutter aesthetic and generous light control. Works beautifully across most window sizes and interior styles.
89mm louvres
The widest louvre, letting in the most light and creating the most open, airy feel. Ideal for larger windows, open-plan spaces and modern interiors where maximising natural light is a priority.
How it works
Split Tilt and Mid Rails — What's the Difference?
As well as choosing how the louvres tilt, you can choose how the panel is controlled. It helps to see the difference rather than just read about it.
Standard Louvre Control
Louvres within the control group move together.
Mid Rail
A physical horizontal rail separates sections of the shutter panel.
Split Tilt
Upper and lower groups of louvres can be tilted independently within the same panel.
Tier on Tier is different again: it uses separate upper and lower shutter panels that can also be opened independently.
How it works
Tracked Bi-Fold and Tracked Bypass — What's the Difference?
Tracked shutters open in one of two ways, depending on your window or opening.
Tracked Bi-Fold
Panels are hinged together and fold as they travel along the track, stacking neatly to one side. Suited to larger openings where the panels need to stack back.
Tracked Bypass
Panels travel on parallel tracks and slide past one another rather than folding. Suited to openings where a sliding operation is preferred.

Operation
How Your Louvres Are Operated
Wooden shutters offer four ways to tilt the louvres for light and privacy control, from the traditional centre rod to a fully concealed mechanism.
Centre Tilt Rod
The traditional method. A slim rod runs down the centre of the panel, allowing all louvres to be tilted simultaneously. Supplied as standard on elliptical louvres.
Offset Tilt Rod
The tilt rod is positioned to one side of the panel rather than the centre, giving a cleaner look from certain viewing angles.
Clearview (Hidden Tilt)
A thin metal rod secured to the back of the panel connects all the louvres so they open and close together, leaving the front completely clear for an unobstructed view through the open louvres.
Rack & Pinion (Hidden Tilt)
The most discreet option. The tilt mechanism is fully concealed within the stile of the shutter — completely invisible from both front and back. Simply move any louvre by hand and all louvres move together.
ABS-Coated Paulownia Option
An ABS-coated Paulownia option is also available within our wooden shutter range. Availability and suitability depend on the chosen shutter configuration and will be confirmed during your home consultation.

Warranty and Care
Our wooden shutters carry a 3-year manufacturer's warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal domestic use. If you have any concerns about your shutters after installation, please get in touch and we will advise on next steps.
Please note that wooden shutters are a natural product and will display the inherent characteristics of real timber — including natural grain patterns, knots and subtle colour variation between panels. These are not defects; they are the unique character of real wood.
For everyday dust: use a dry cloth or the soft brush attachment on your vacuum cleaner. For marks and stains: a damp cloth or baby wipe is all you need. Do not use abrasive cleaning products on any shutter surface.
Touch-up paint is supplied with your shutters where a painted finish is chosen, so minor marks can be attended to quickly and easily.
Lead Time and Ordering
Wooden shutters are crafted to order and typically take 10–14 weeks from confirmed order to delivery and installation. This lead time reflects the handcrafted nature of real wood shutters and the precision involved in making each panel to your exact window measurements.
