Made to Measure Curtains — Beautiful at Every Window

Bespoke made to measure curtains in an extensive fabric range — pencil pleat, eyelet, pinch pleat and wave headings, with a choice of linings, tracks, poles and motorised systems. Supplied and fitted across Milton Keynes, Bedford and Luton.

There is something uniquely transformative about a beautifully made curtain. More than any other window treatment, curtains bring warmth, softness and a sense of considered luxury to a room — framing the window, adding acoustic comfort and completing an interior in a way that no blind or shutter can replicate.

At Blinds Kingdom we supply and fit bespoke made to measure curtains across Milton Keynes, Bedford and Luton — in an extensive range of fabrics, heading styles and lining options. Every curtain is made to the exact measurements of your window, in your chosen fabric and heading, and fitted by our own experienced team. Every order begins with a free home visit where we bring samples and take accurate measurements in your own home.

Heading Styles

Five Ways to Dress Your Window

The heading style determines how your curtains hang, how they stack when open and the overall character of the finished result.

Suitable for tracks and poles

Pencil Pleat

The most traditional and widely used curtain heading — neat, even gathers created by draw cords running through the heading tape. A classic, timeless look that suits virtually any interior style. Available in 3-inch and 6-inch tape. Fullness approximately 200%.

Suitable for poles only — not suitable for tracks

Eyelet

A contemporary heading where metal rings are punched directly through the fabric and threaded onto the pole — creating even, rounded folds that stack neatly. Clean, modern look. Available in silver, gold, antique and gunmetal.

Double Pinch Pleat

Individual pinch pleats sewn at regular intervals — creating a structured, formal look. Elegant, classic character that suits traditional and period interiors. Fullness approximately 200%.

Three folds per pleat — creating a generous, luxurious heading with greater fullness and a more dramatic, formal appearance. The highest fullness of any heading style at approximately 260%.

Suitable for wave tracks only

Wave

Smooth, continuous S-shaped curves across the full width when closed — stacks in a narrow, even column when open. A clean, architectural quality that suits modern interiors. Requires a specialist wave track with 80mm spacing. Motorised option available.

Recycled & Sustainable Fabrics

A selection of recycled and sustainably sourced fabrics for beautiful results with a reduced environmental footprint.

Our surveyor brings a full fabric sample collection to your home visit so you can see every option in your own light.

Lining Options

The lining affects the light control, insulation, drape and longevity of your curtains.

Unlined

Fabric only — best suited to voile and sheer fabrics or where a light, informal look is preferred.

Premier Lining (Default)

Lightweight entry-level lining in white or ivory. Adds privacy and light reduction while keeping the curtain light.

Satin Lining

Premium quality satin in white or ivory — adds luxury, weight and improved light control. Popular upgrade for living rooms and bedrooms.

Blockout Lining

Heavyweight lining that significantly reduces light. Also acts as a thermal insulating layer. Some light will enter at edges.

Interlining

A third layer of soft padding between face fabric and lining — adds weight, acoustic softness, thermal insulation and a beautifully full, structured appearance. The premium choice for principal rooms.

Curtain Tracks — Clean, Contemporary and Motorised

Hand-Draw Curtain Track

A sleek, contemporary track with a soft round profile — clean and discreet when installed. Hand draw operation. Available in black and white. Compatible with pencil pleat, pinch pleat and wave headings.

Wave Motorised Track

A specialist wave track with 80mm spacing, required for all wave heading curtains. Available in black and white.

Wired motor system — smooth, quiet operation at the touch of a button or via smart home integration.

Battery-powered motor — wireless alternative requiring no wiring. Both options compatible with remote controls, Amazon Alexa and Google Home.

Curtain Poles & Bay Window Tracks

We supply and fit curtain poles for eyelet, pencil pleat and pinch pleat headings. Bay window curtain tracks and poles are available through our specialist bay window track supplier.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between pencil pleat and wave curtains?

Pencil pleat curtains gather into neat, even horizontal folds — a classic, traditional look that works on tracks and poles. Wave curtains create smooth, continuous S-shaped curves — a more contemporary, architectural look that requires a specialist wave track.

Can eyelet curtains be used on a track?

No — eyelet curtains can only be used on poles. The eyelet rings thread directly onto the pole and cannot be used with a standard curtain track.

Can curtains be motorised?

Yes — wave heading curtains can be motorised using a dedicated motorised wave track. Wired and battery-powered options are available, compatible with remote controls, Amazon Alexa and Google Home.

Do you supply curtain tracks and poles?

Yes — we supply and fit hand-draw curtain tracks, motorised wave tracks and curtain poles. Bay window tracks and poles are available through our specialist bay window track supplier.

Are curtains suitable for bay windows?

Yes — we offer made to measure curtains for bay windows. Bay window curtain tracks and poles are sourced through our specialist supplier. Your surveyor will assess your bay during the home visit.

How do I clean my curtains?

All made to measure curtains are dry clean only. Remove the curtains from the track or pole and take them to a professional dry cleaner. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.

What is the lead time for curtains?

Our made to measure curtains have a typical lead time of 5–8 weeks from confirmed order. Lead times may be subject to variation and will be confirmed at your home visit.
