We supply and fit everything we sell. Our own experienced installation team carries out every fitting — we do not supply products for customers to fit themselves and we do not subcontract our installations.

One of our experienced consultants visits your home at a time that suits you. We bring a full range of samples — fabrics, materials, colours and finishes — and take accurate measurements of every window. We walk you through all the options and answer any questions. There is no obligation and no pressure. A detailed quotation is provided during or immediately after the visit.

A standard home visit for a single room typically takes between 30 and 60 minutes. For larger projects covering multiple rooms, or for conservatory surveys, please allow up to 90 minutes.

Most standard installations are completed within a single day. The time required depends on the number of windows and the complexity of the products being fitted.

Warranty periods vary by product: Wooden shutters 3 years, Faux wood/PVC/composite shutters 10 years, Aluminium and wood grain shutters 5 years, Perfect Fit® Shutters Lite 10 years, most blinds 1 year, Roman blinds 1 year (blind) / 5 years (motor), Curtains 1 year. Full details confirmed at the time of order.

Lead times vary: UK manufactured faux wood and PVC blinds 3–5 weeks, most blinds 2–5 weeks, Roman blinds and curtains 5–8 weeks, wooden and composite shutters 10–14 weeks, aluminium shutters 12–14 weeks. All confirmed at your home visit.

Please ensure the window area is clear — window sills cleared and any heavy furniture or breakables moved away from the windows. If you have existing blinds, curtains or tracks you are replacing, please note that our team does not remove or dispose of existing window treatments.

Yes — we offer home visits at a range of times including evenings and weekends where possible. Please let us know your preferred time when booking.

Shutters are one of the few window treatments that genuinely add value to a property. They are a permanent architectural feature that enhances the look of your home from both inside and outside. They last for decades, require minimal maintenance and are widely regarded by estate agents as a premium selling point.

With proper care, shutters will last the lifetime of your home. Our PVC, faux wood and composite shutters carry a 10-year warranty but in practice these materials do not deteriorate under normal domestic use. Wooden shutters carry a 3-year warranty but will last many years beyond that.

Yes — provided you choose the right material. Our PVC, composite and faux wood shutters are 100% waterproof and specifically designed for high-humidity environments. Real wooden shutters are not recommended for bathrooms or kitchens.

Yes — shutters are one of the most effective window treatments for thermal insulation. Independent research by the University of Salford has demonstrated that window shutters and blinds can reduce heat loss through windows by up to 33%.

Yes — shutters have no hanging cords or chains at all. They are operated by hand making them completely safe for homes with young children and pets.

Standard shutters significantly reduce light but some light will enter at the edges where louvres meet the frame. For a much higher level of light exclusion we recommend our blackout shutter option, which incorporates a specialist honeycomb blockout blind within the shutter frame for enhanced blockout performance.

Yes — we fit shutters to all types of bay windows including 90-degree box bays and 135-degree angled bays. Each section of the bay is fitted with its own individual frame.

Yes — our shaped shutter range covers arches, sunbursts, apex windows, triangles, circles, rakes and more. Shaped shutters are available in real hardwood only and are made to the exact dimensions of your window.

Roller blinds are the most popular blind in the UK — clean, versatile and available in the widest range of fabrics. Vertical blinds are the most popular choice for large windows and patio doors. For bathrooms and kitchens, aluminium venetian blinds are the most practical choice.

Standard blinds made with blackout fabric reduce light through the fabric itself, but light can still enter around the edges. For clients who need a much higher level of light exclusion, we offer a specialist framed blackout system. On qualifying dark grey or black configurations, correctly surveyed and installed, this system can achieve full blackout.

Aluminium venetian blinds are one of the most popular bathroom choices — completely moisture resistant. Roller blinds with moisture resistant or PVC fabrics are also suitable. Faux wood venetian blinds are suitable for bathrooms.

Pleated honeycomb blinds are the most widely fitted conservatory blind — providing thermal insulation and solar shading. Roller blinds, aluminium venetian blinds and Perfect Fit® systems are all suitable for conservatory side windows.

A Perfect Fit® blind clips directly into the existing rubber beading of your uPVC window frame — no drilling, no screwing and no damage. The blind moves with the window when opened. Available in roller, venetian, wooden, pleated, day and night blinds and shutters.

No — day and night blinds are a light control and privacy product. When the opaque stripes are aligned they significantly reduce light but do not block it completely. For complete blackout please see our dedicated Blackout Blinds page.

Yes — motorised options are available across several blind types including roller, roman, wooden, day and night, pleated and conservatory lantern blinds. Compatible with remote control, smartphone apps, Amazon Alexa and Google Home.

Roller blinds with solar screen fabric are the most popular choice — reducing screen glare while maintaining natural light. Aluminium venetian blinds are also excellent for offices, providing precise tilt control for managing glare.

Pencil pleat is the most versatile — classic, easy to use and works on tracks and poles. Eyelet is clean and contemporary but requires a pole. Wave gives the most modern, architectural look but requires a specialist wave track. Triple pinch pleat creates the most luxurious, formal appearance.

Yes — wave heading curtains can be motorised using a dedicated motorised wave track. Both wired and battery-powered options are available and are compatible with smart home systems. Motorised curtain tracks are not available for pencil pleat, pinch pleat or eyelet headings.

For most living rooms and bedrooms, satin lining is an excellent choice. Blockout lining is recommended where light reduction is a priority. Interlining adds a padded third layer for a luxurious, full appearance. Voile fabrics are available unlined only.

All our made to measure curtains are dry clean only. Remove the curtains from the track or pole and take them to a professional dry cleaner. Machine washing or tumble drying will damage the fabric and lining and void the warranty.

Yes — leave them completely undisturbed for a minimum of 72 hours, ideally up to 7 days. This allows the fabric fibres to settle and develop their fold memory.

Our made to measure curtains have a typical lead time of 5–8 weeks from confirmed order. Lead times confirmed at your home visit.

Yes — child safety devices on corded window blinds are a legal requirement in the UK under BS EN 13120 and the BBSA Make it Safe guidelines. This applies to all properties regardless of whether children live in or visit the property.

Depending on the blind type: breakaway chain connectors, safety cleats (fixed at minimum 150cm from the floor), cord consolidators, P-clips, and wand operation on vertical blinds which eliminates cords and chains entirely.

If you refuse the required child safety devices our installer will not complete the installation. The blind will be left uninstalled and you will be asked to sign a Safety Refusal Form. You remain liable for the full outstanding balance.

Options include wand-operated blinds, motorised blinds (completely cordless), or Perfect Fit® systems (which clip into the window beading with no drilling). Please raise this with your surveyor during your home visit.
