Perfect Fit Shutters — Shutters That Move With Your Window
Perfect Fit Shutters clip directly to suitable glazed window and door frames — no drilling or screwing into the frame — and move with the window or door when it opens. Suitability is confirmed by survey.
Perfect Fit Shutters are shutter panels fitted directly to suitable glazed window and door frames, using a clip and bracket system rather than a full outer shutter framework. There's no drilling or screwing into the window frame, and the panels can be unclipped for cleaning or maintenance.
Because the panel clips directly onto the window or door frame rather than the surrounding wall, it opens and closes with the window or door itself. Adjustable louvres give you the same daylight and privacy control as a standard shutter. Suitability depends on your window or door's frame, glazing bead and handle geometry, and is confirmed during survey.
At Blinds Kingdom we supply and fit Perfect Fit Shutters across Milton Keynes, Bedford and Luton. Every installation begins with a free home visit, where we check your windows and doors and confirm whether Perfect Fit Shutters are the right fit.
Why Choose Perfect Fit Shutters?
No Drilling or Screwing Into the Window Frame
Perfect Fit Shutters clip directly onto suitable glazed window and door frames using a bracket system, without drilling or screwing into the frame itself.
Moves With the Window or Door
Because the panel is fitted to the opening section of the frame rather than the surrounding wall, it travels with the window or door as it opens and closes.
No Conventional Outer Shutter Frame
Perfect Fit Shutters have no outer shutter framework — the panel fits within the glazed area itself, overlapping the frame by a small margin.
Adjustable Louvre Light and Privacy Control
Louvres tilt open and closed to give you the same daylight and privacy control as a standard shutter.
Removable for Cleaning and Maintenance
Panels can be unclipped from their brackets for cleaning or maintenance, then clipped back into place.
How Perfect Fit Shutters Work

Perfect Fit Shutters use a bracket system that clips directly onto a suitable glazed window or door frame — no drilling and no screwing into the frame. The panel sits close against the glass, with no outer shutter framework surrounding it.
The overall panel is made slightly larger than the glass size, so it overlaps onto the window frame itself rather than needing its own separate frame. Because the panel is fitted to the opening part of the window or door, it moves with it when opened. Exact suitability depends on your frame, glazing bead and handle geometry, and is confirmed during survey.
French Doors and Opening Windows

Because the panel is fitted directly to the window or door frame rather than a separate surrounding frame, it travels with the opening section — including on French doors and inward-opening windows like those shown here.
This means the shutter doesn't need to be removed or repositioned each time the door or window is opened. Handle clearance and frame geometry still need to be checked — not every French door or opening-window configuration is suitable, and this is confirmed during survey.
Different Window Arrangements

Perfect Fit Shutters can be arranged across multiple windows and configurations, including bay windows like the one shown here, where each window in the bay is fitted with its own panel or panels.
Panel count depends on the glass width of your window — up to five panels can be butted together on a single wide opening. Your surveyor will confirm the exact panel arrangement for your windows during your home visit.
When a Midrail May Be Needed
For glass sizes of 1500mm and over, a midrail is recommended. A midrail is a physical horizontal rail across the panel, rather than a second tilt control — it adds structural support to taller panels.
This is different from split tilt, which lets the louvres above and below a dividing point be angled independently for daylight control. Your surveyor will confirm whether a midrail is needed for your specific glass size.
Available Colours
Perfect Fit Shutters are currently available in two colours. Our surveyor brings samples of both to your home visit, and the exact finish is confirmed from physical samples rather than a screen.
Louvre sizes
63mm Louvre
The current Perfect Fit Shutter Lite specification uses a single louvre size.
63mm louvres
The louvre size used across the current Perfect Fit Shutter Lite range, giving the same adjustable light and privacy control as our other shutters.
How it works
Split Tilt and Tiltrod Options
The tiltrod controls how the louvres are angled for daylight and privacy.
Standard Tiltrod
A tiltrod on the right-hand side is the standard configuration.
Optional Configurations
A left-hand tiltrod or a split tiltrod — allowing the upper and lower louvres to be angled independently — is available on selected configurations. If a stile handle rebate is needed, the tiltrod is fitted on the opposite side to the rebate.
Your surveyor will confirm the right tiltrod configuration for your window or door handle position.
How it works
Handle Clearance and Rebate Options
Some window and door handles need extra clearance for the shutter panel to fit correctly.
Rail Handle Rebate
A rebate cut into the panel's rail to clear a handle positioned there.
Stile Handle Rebate
A rebate cut into the panel's stile (side edge) to clear a handle positioned there.
6mm Handle Packer
A small packer that creates additional clearance where needed.
The exact arrangement needed for your window or door handle is confirmed during survey.
Suitability — What We Check During Survey
Perfect Fit Shutters aren't suitable for every window or door, so your surveyor checks a number of things before confirming your installation: glass width and drop, bead and frame compatibility, and the bracket size needed.
We also check your window or door handle — its projection and how it moves — along with any air vents, the opening direction, and how the sash or door moves when opened. This tells us whether a handle rebate or packer is needed, how many panels your opening requires, and whether the louvres will sit fully clear of the glass.
Only once all of this is confirmed will we recommend Perfect Fit Shutters for your windows or doors — if they aren't suitable, we'll let you know and can discuss our other shutter options instead.
Light and Privacy
Adjustable louvres give you the same daylight and privacy control as any of our shutters. Tilting the louvres lets you control how much light enters the room and how visible the room is from outside.
This is not a blackout product — visible light gaps can remain around and between the louvres, and colour does not change this. If you need substantially enhanced darkness in a room, our dedicated Blackout Shutters may be a better fit — ask your surveyor for more information.
