Top-down/bottom-up

Two separate fabrics in one blind offer different light-control choices. Available on selected systems; different from striped Day & Night rollers.

Pleated or Cellular?
Pleated blinds use a single folded fabric layer. Cellular, also called honeycomb, fabric forms enclosed air pockets within the folds.
The cellular structure adds an insulating layer at the window. The best choice depends on your room, glazing and priorities, rather than one construction being right for every window.

Choose the opening arrangement and controls together: not every movement is available with every operating system.
Electric Operation
Convenient for everyday adjustment, several blinds together and difficult-to-reach windows. Remote, grouped and connected functions depend on the selected system.
Tab-Operated
Move the rail with a small plastic tab. Depending on the system, the tab may be clear, white or colour-matched to the frame.
Cord-Operated
Available on selected systems, with the required child-safety fittings installed and explained.
Fitting Options — Separate from Opening Options
How a blind is fitted does not automatically tell you how it opens. We check the frame, glazing bead, handles, recess and clearances before recommending a combination.
Free-Hanging
A conventional headrail arrangement for suitable standard windows, fitted within or outside the recess.
Tensioned
A system that keeps the fabric controlled on suitable glazing. The available movements depend on its design.
Frame-Fitted
Selected Perfect Fit® and FITtoFRAME options for compatible windows and doors. These are different systems, with their own suitability requirements.
Fabrics, Privacy and Room Comfort
Light-filtering fabrics soften daylight; dimout fabrics offer greater light reduction. Privacy varies with the fabric and lighting, particularly when lights are on indoors at night. We explain the expected result for your chosen fabric.
Blackout fabric blocks light through the fabric itself, but a standard blind can still admit light around its edges. Cellular air pockets add insulation, without a universal promise of energy savings or a set temperature reduction.
Not every fabric is available for every fitting method, shape or roof application. We confirm fabric suitability for the complete system before ordering.

We confirm which sections move, where fabric gathers and any parts that remain covered before you order. Once fitted, the blinds are checked through their full available movement, with controls and any safety devices explained.

Do cellular blinds help insulate windows?

Does blackout fabric make the room completely dark?
Not by itself. Standard blinds can leave edge light. Our separate Total Blackout system uses a four-sided aluminium frame and needs a qualifying configuration.
Can these blinds fit my doors, roof or shaped windows?
Selected systems suit these applications. Each has different fabric, fixing and operating requirements, confirmed at survey. Conservatory roof blinds are not available in blackout fabrics.
